Scotch Dreams Score

95-100  Divine.  Must own.  Can't say enough good things.
90-94    Fantastic scotch.  Buy multiple bottles.
85-89    Very good scotch.  Worth buying.
80-84    Good scotch.  Worth trying.
75-79    Mediocre.  Decent mixer option.
70-74    Poor scotch.  Mixer only.
<70       Avoid.


Scotch Dreams Value Adjustment

The Scotch Dreams Value Adjustment attempts to account for the price/quality balance in some of the world's cheaper or overpriced drams.  Cheap scotch that is good enough to earn a decent rating will typically see a positive adjustment, while overpriced scotch that is mediocre will see a negative adjustment.  Adjustments are on a scale of -5 to +5 and may be added directly to the Scotch Dreams Score - which addresses ONLY the dram's quality - to achieve a price weighted scoring.

Note that not each scotch will be given a value adjustment score.  It will only be done on scotches where I feel like the price/quality differential merits a rating.

+5 Adjustment: Tremendous value for the price.
-5 Adjustment: Not worth the money.  At all.  Avoid.
